Fujikyu Bus announced on August 6 that its SEKITORI highway-bus reservation service will stop accepting new bookings on September 30. Trips from October 1 onward move to Fujiyama Connect, and existing SEKITORI accounts and points will not carry over.
Key Facts For Travelers
Which Booking Site To Use
The operator divides bookings by travel date: SEKITORI remains the booking route for buses operating through September 30, while Fujiyama Connect handles buses operating from October 1. Because sales open one month before travel, October services begin appearing from September rather than immediately in August.
Fujiyama Connect can be used without registering an account. Registration is optional but can simplify passenger entry and reservation-history checks; a SEKITORI login will not be copied across, so registered users must create a new account if they want those features.
Handle Existing Records And Points Before Closure
SEKITORI stops taking reservations on September 30 and closes completely on October 31. The official notice says account information will be deleted and will not migrate. Keep your booking confirmation, and complete any necessary confirmation, change, or cancellation work before the reservation service ends.
Reservation history, receipts, terms, and inquiry functions remain available until 11:59 PM on October 31, according to the notice. SEKITORI points expire on September 30 even if an older email shows a later validity date, and they cannot be transferred to Fujiyama Connect.
Traveler Actions
- Choose the reservation site by bus travel date, not by booking date.
- For an October trip, start checking Fujiyama Connect about one month before departure.
- Save confirmations and receipts from SEKITORI before the October 31 site closure.
- Use or review SEKITORI points before September 30; they will not transfer.
- Create a separate Fujiyama Connect account only if its saved-history features are useful to you.
