Fujisan View Express has announced the autumn version of its Western sweets plan for September. The experience is limited to selected weekend and holiday trains in the reserved first car and combines the rail journey with two seasonal desserts and drinks.
Key Facts For Travelers
What The Autumn Menu Includes
The operator describes an autumn FUJIYAMA chocolate dessert made with chocolate mousse, caramel mousse, apple compote, and a white-chocolate summit. The second dessert is a grape jelly with muscat sauce, fresh grapes, and a small amount of white-wine jelly.
The official page says the alcohol content is very small and considers the jelly suitable for drivers and children. Travelers avoiding alcohol completely should still review the ingredient information and make their own choice before booking.
Booking And Ticket Conditions
The Western sweets plan is available only on weekends and holidays and is sold as a travel package through Fujikyu Travel. The official fare page says it cannot be combined with a ticket or pass already held by the traveler. Four-person box seating booked by only two people costs more.
The first car is reserved and advance booking is required. The plan is limited to journeys starting at Otsuki and ending at Mt. Fuji Station, Fuji-Q Highland, or Kawaguchiko, so it is not a general add-on for every station pair.
Food And Carriage Rules
The desserts must be eaten on the train and cannot be taken away. The official allergen table lists egg, milk, wheat, almond, and apple for the chocolate dessert, and the operator says menu substitutions or allergy adaptations are not available.
Pets are not accepted in the special first car because food and drinks are served there. Travelers using cars 2 or 3 may carry a pet in an appropriate case under the railway’s separate conditions, but those cars do not include the sweets plan.
Traveler Actions
- Use the official reservation page to select an eligible September weekend or holiday service.
- Do not buy a separate rail ticket first and assume it can be combined with this package.
- Review allergens before booking because substitutions are not offered.
- Plan to eat both desserts in the carriage; takeaway is not permitted.
- Recheck the operating timetable and reservation conditions before travel.
