Key Facts For Travelers
September And October Dates
The official 2026 schedule lists September 5, 6, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 26. October dates are October 4, 11, and 12.
The institute warns that weather and other conditions can cause a cancellation or change without advance notice. Calling before the visit is recommended.
Who Can Join
The walk is open to children and adults. The official guide also says a course suitable for wheelchair and stroller users is available, making the program more accessible than a typical mountain trail activity.
Groups of six or more must reserve in advance. Smaller groups also benefit from booking because advance reservations receive priority over same-day requests.
Clothing And Arrival
This is a short forest program, not a summit climb, but visitors should still wear stable closed shoes and clothing appropriate for cool, damp, or changing forest conditions. Carry rain protection when the forecast is uncertain.
The institute is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with final admission at 4:30 PM. Arrive before your selected walk time and check in as directed by staff.
