How The Evening Event Works

Children search the museum for treasure chests, collect coins, and rearrange letters to solve the final answer. The official city announcement says prizes and handheld fireworks are limited to the first 150 children each day.

The evening fee is separate from the museum’s ordinary daytime price. Even Fujiyoshida residents must pay the event participation fee, according to the official event page.

Fireworks And Weather Rules

The handheld-fireworks activity is for children participating in the treasure hunt. Bringing personal fireworks is prohibited, and open flames are normally not allowed in the surrounding park outside this controlled event.

If it rains or winds are strong, only the fireworks portion may be cancelled. The official page says participants can take the supplied firework home if the outdoor activity cannot be held.

Access And Parking

The museum is about a five-minute walk from the Fujisan Museum Park bus stop, reached by local bus from Mt. Fuji Station. The regular facility page lists 40 ordinary-car spaces at the museum, while the event page also points drivers to the adjacent Roadside Station Fujiyoshida parking area.

The event continues after dark, so families using public transport should check the return bus before entering. Drivers should follow event staff and posted parking directions rather than stopping along nearby roads.

Traveler Actions

  • Bring cash for the event fee and arrive before the 7:30 PM last entry.
  • Keep children with a guardian throughout the treasure hunt and fireworks activity.
  • Do not bring personal fireworks to the museum or park.
  • Recheck weather because rain or strong wind can cancel the fireworks portion.
  • Confirm the return bus time or designated parking area before the evening event begins.
