Planning a small souvenir stop during the September holiday break? Fujikawaguchiko Town’s September 18 notice sets out where and when to collect its A001 “Early Summer Mt. Fuji” manhole card. The weekend counter and public-holiday pause matter more than the fact that you are visiting during a long holiday.
Key Facts For Travelers
A Library Stop For The Weekend
The weekend collection point is the Lifelong Learning Center, which houses the town library. Its address is 1754 Funatsu, immediately west of Town Hall. The official A001 page gives a 09:30–17:00 distribution window for Saturdays and Sundays, excluding public holidays.
Use the library’s official access map below to choose the main building. Save the location before leaving your accommodation, and leave enough time to find the counter without rushing at closing time. This is a short collection errand; keep your sightseeing itinerary flexible around it.
Three Days When The Card Is Not Distributed
The holiday notice explicitly lists September 21, 22 and 23 as days without distribution. A longer holiday period does not mean the collection counter operates every day.
If those are your only days around Kawaguchiko, arrange the rest of your trip without this particular pickup. Do not make a special detour to the library or assume Town Hall can provide the card instead. The next dates listed for weekday collection are September 24 and 25.
Weekday Pickup And Stock Checks
On weekdays, the A001 pickup point is the Waterworks Section on the third floor of Town Hall, 1700 Funatsu. Its card-distribution hours are 09:00–17:00. The library’s August notice also confirms that its own card distribution is limited to Saturdays and Sundays.
Cards are handed out face to face, one per person; the town does not accept reservations or mail requests. The A001 page’s stock figure is dated August 1, so it cannot confirm stock on your visit day. Before making a dedicated trip, ask the library at 0555-73-1212 or the Waterworks Section at 0555-72-1620 about current availability.
Keep The Different Card Locations Separate
The town also lists a Katsuyama yabusame-festival card at Roadside Station Katsuyama and a thatched-house / kunimasu fish card at Saiko Nature Center. Those are separate collection points. The September holiday notice asks visitors to check each facility’s opening dates and hours; it does not promise that either alternative will be available during the A001 pause.
