Advance application is mandatory and places close when capacity is reached. Use the booking link on the official Yamanakako Tourism Association event page, then confirm the exact session time and current availability before arranging transport or accommodation around the ride.

Understand The Price Before Booking

The official event page lists ¥8,000 for inbound international visitors and travelers. It separately lists ¥5,000 for adults aged junior-high-school and above, ¥4,000 for residents of Yamanakako, Oshino and Fujiyoshida, ¥3,000 for elementary-school children, and ¥1,500 for preschool children.

Elementary-school and younger children must ride with a guardian. Participants receive free event parking. Because the organizer separates price categories, international visitors should check that the booking screen shows the appropriate category before completing an application.

This Is A Short Tethered Ride

The balloon remains connected to ropes rather than traveling across the lake. The organizer lists a height of about 15–20 meters, a ride time of roughly five minutes and a typical capacity of about five adults per ascent.

Pregnant visitors cannot ride. Anyone who needs disability-related assistance should contact the organizer before the event. The event page says passenger insurance is included, but travelers should still follow the crew’s instructions and disclose any relevant needs in advance.

Weather Can Change The Morning Plan

Balloon operation is highly weather-dependent. If the organizer cancels because of conditions, it normally plans to email participants around 16:00 on the previous day. Conditions can also force a pause or cancellation after the event morning has begun.

Keep the evening before the ride flexible, check the email address used for booking and avoid building a non-refundable onward plan around the balloon alone. The listed times may shift by session, so the booking page is the final timing reference.

Venue And Featured Image

The ride venue is the Harappa field at Yamanakako Community Plaza Kirara, 479-2 Hirano, Yamanakako. The official listing describes it as about ten minutes by car from Yamanakako Interchange.
