Fujikyu Railway will run a reservation-only Fujisan View Express 10th-anniversary event on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The program includes an evening round trip between Kawaguchiko and Mitsutoge, food and a driver talk, followed by a special nighttime photo session at Kawaguchiko Station.
Key Facts For Travelers
This Is A Reserved Event, Not A Regular Train
The premium plan is sold online by seat type and is separate from ordinary Fujikyu Railway service. The operator lists four single-seat places, five two-person places, and three places for groups of three or four, with sales ending once capacity is reached.
The train departs Kawaguchiko at 6:08 PM, reaches Mitsutoge at 6:26 PM, returns at 6:50 PM, and arrives back at Kawaguchiko at 7:10 PM. A driver talk is planned during the Mitsutoge turnaround.
What The Premium Plan Includes
The official package includes a special pork-cutlet sandwich, a Mount Fuji-shaped pudding, drinks in the special car, a driver talk, and the nighttime train photo session. Participants also receive a two-day Fujikyu limited-express free pass, but separate express supplements are still required when using an express train.
The photography period is scheduled for 7:30-8:30 PM on the Kawaguchiko siding. Operating conditions can change the timing, and the operator says a detailed itinerary will be sent roughly one week before departure.
Age Rules And A Wording Discrepancy
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by someone age 20 or older. Preschool children cannot join the photo session, so families should not purchase solely on the assumption that every child can enter the siding event.
The announcement introduction labels September 22 as a Sunday, while its detailed event summary states Tuesday; September 22, 2026 falls on a Tuesday. Use the Tuesday date shown in the event summary and confirm it again in the booking record and itinerary before travel.
