Paying On Local And Sightseeing Buses

Fujikyu says Suica, PASMO, Kitaca, TOICA, manaca, ICOCA, PiTaPa, SUGOCA, nimoca, and Hayakaken can be used on regular local and sightseeing buses. Tap the reader once when boarding and again when leaving so the correct distance-based fare is recorded.

When paying cash on a local bus, take a numbered ticket if instructed and pay when exiting through the front door. Use the onboard change machine before your stop because the fare box is intended for exact payment.

Mobile batteries must stay within reach near the seat and cannot be accepted in the luggage hold.
