Fujikyu Bus will divert the Fujikko sightseeing loop around Lake Yamanaka while Benifuji-no-Yu is closed for renovation. From Monday, September 28, two stops will not be served by Fujikko buses, and Hana-no-Miyako-Koen-Iriguchi passengers need to use the park-side stop instead.
Key Facts For Travelers
Which Stops Are Affected
Fujikyu Bus says Fujikko services will bypass the Benifuji-no-Yu stop and the Hana-no-Miyako-Koen-Iriguchi stop located on the national-highway side. The change applies for more than five months, so journey planners, printed maps and older screenshots may continue to show a stop that Fujikko is temporarily not serving.
The closure is connected to renovation work at Benifuji-no-Yu. The hot-spring operator separately confirms that the facility will close from September 28 and gives a planned reopening period in March 2027. Do not plan a bath visit or a Fujikko boarding connection at the facility during the closure.
Where To Wait At Hana-no-Miyako-Koen-Iriguchi
Fujikko passengers should use the Hana-no-Miyako-Koen-Iriguchi stop on the park side. If you are traveling toward Mt. Fuji Station or Kawaguchiko Station, the operator instructs passengers to wait on the opposite side from that park-side stop.
Allow extra time to identify the correct side of the road before the bus arrives. The two locations share the same stop name, so relying only on the name in a map app may place you on the wrong side. Follow the temporary operator notice at the stop and check the vehicle direction before boarding.
Other Bus Services At The Area
The operator says the Gotemba Line can continue to use the highway-side Hana-no-Miyako-Koen-Iriguchi stop. The Gotemba Premium Outlets service is also listed as continuing. The temporary restriction is specifically for Fujikko, so confirm the route name rather than assuming every bus uses the detour.
For live delays, stop positions and current service information, use the official Fujikyu Bus pages on the day of travel. Winter weather and road conditions can cause additional changes that are separate from this planned detour.
