Ishiwari-no-Yu November 2026: Later Hours, Thursday Closures

Travel News Watch

Information checked: November 4, 2026 at 8:40 AM JST.

Planning a bath after exploring Lake Yamanaka? Ishiwari-no-Yu’s November 3 announcement gives visitors a later afternoon option during the first half of the month. Choose your return transport before adding this Hirano-area stop, and check the date: the Thursday closure still matters. Travelers who had pencilled in Benifuji-no-Yu should change that plan because its renovation closure continues.

Short answerFor November 1–15, 2026, Ishiwari-no-Yu lists 11:00–20:00 opening, last admission at 19:15, and Thursday closure. November 5 and 12 are therefore days to choose a different plan. A later bath closing time does not establish a late bus home.

Use the Dated Calendar for Your Visit

The November notice and its attached calendar take precedence over the general visitor page’s earlier evening closing time for this specific period. The calendar leaves later-month hours blank. Do not carry the extension into the rest of November without a new operator update.

Our practical suggestion is to make this a flexible stop during a Lake Yamanaka stay or day out, rather than stretching a tightly timed Kawaguchiko or Tokyo itinerary just to reach the last-admission cutoff. On a closed day, move the bath to another confirmed opening day or keep a simpler lake visit using our Fuji trip planner. This article has not checked weather, road conditions or hiking access.

Plan the Bus Back Before You Enter

The official Fujikko bus page includes Ishiwari-no-Yu Onsen as stop 164, alongside Hirano and the Mt. Ishiwari hiking-course entrance. Read the timetable for the journey you intend to take, including the onward leg toward Fujisan Station or Kawaguchiko Station. A stop printed on a route map is not a promise of a convenient connection at your chosen finishing time.

If you are returning to Tokyo, work backward from your booked onward service. If you are staying around Kawaguchiko, confirm the local return before deciding on a late soak. Current fares, your selected departures, walking connections and total door-to-door journey time have not been confirmed here. Ask the operator or your accommodation to help check the exact itinerary; choose an earlier bath if the return remains uncertain.

Keep Benifuji-no-Yu Out of the Bath Plan

Fujikyu Bus’s renovation detour notice says Fujikko does not use the Benifuji-no-Yu stop from September 28, 2026 through March 11, 2027. Ishiwari-no-Yu’s current announcement also says the sister bath is closed until a planned date in March 2027. The bus-detour end date should not be treated as a confirmed reopening day for the bath.

Hirano’s Ishiwari-no-Yu is a separate destination. Rebuild the route around the bath you can actually visit instead of assuming the two facilities share a stop or operating calendar. Our earlier Fujikko detour guide explains the separate changes around Hana-no-Miyako Park.

Check Admission Rules and Food Timing

The operator’s visitor guide includes applicable bathing tax in the listed entry prices. Bring a towel or allow for extras: it lists a small towel at ¥220 and bath-towel rental at ¥180. Its rules exclude tattoos, including small or sticker tattoos, and charge admission even when a visitor does not bathe. Check those conditions before making the journey; do not assume a cover or private bathing option is accepted.

A separate October 17 light-meal announcement lists a temporary counter serving udon, soba and ramen from 11:00–18:00. That food schedule ends earlier than the bath’s extended hours. Confirm the counter is operating if dinner is part of your plan, or eat separately. Its end date is not stated in that announcement.

For visit-date questions, the facility lists +81 555-20-3355. The prefecture’s official tourism listing also identifies the address and nearby named bus stop, but its general hours are older than this month’s operator notice.

Traveler Actions

  • Check the dated November calendar, especially the Thursday closures, before fixing your visit.
  • Choose the bus back or other return transport before entering; allow time to get ready and reach the stop.
  • Leave Benifuji-no-Yu out of the itinerary during its announced renovation closure.
  • Review entry rules, bring or rent towels, and plan food separately if arriving after the meal counter’s hours.
