The Fuji Michi Trail Stamp Rally links Fujikyu Railway stations with mountain routes, GPS check-ins, and completion rewards. The first-half routes remain available through September 30, 2026, but the Mt. Mitsutoge option needs an extra safety check because a rockfall closure remains in force on one approach.

How The Summer Rally Works

The rally uses the YAMASTA smartphone system. The Mt. Mitsutoge route checks in at Kawaguchiko Station, the summit, Hachijuhachi Daishi, and Darumaishi. The Nijumagari Pass-Ishiwariyama route checks in at Nijumagari Pass, the Ishiwariyama summit, Ishiwari Shrine, and Ishiwari-no-Yu.

Completing a course qualifies the hiker for a limited commemorative badge and completion certificate at the designated collection point. A special pin is offered by prize draw. Rewards are limited, so completion does not guarantee stock later in the season.

Mt. Mitsutoge Closure Changes The Safe Plan

Nishikatsura Town says the section between Hahanoshirataki and the junction of the Nishikawa-Arakura and Shirataki forest roads has been closed since June 29 because of rockfall. Reopening is not yet scheduled, although the summit can be reached by other routes.

The stamp page does not replace a current trail map or closure notice. Before departure, download an offline GPS map, confirm an open approach, and do not attempt to cross a barrier merely to collect a digital stamp. In uncertain conditions, the Ishiwariyama course is the simpler choice for this rally period.
