Information checked: October 11, 2026 at 8:32 AM JST.

A new timetable begins Tuesday, October 13, 2026, on the direct route connecting Fujisan Station and Kawaguchiko with Motosuko, Fujinomiya and Shin-Fuji Station. Three daily round trips remain, but several departures move by hours rather than minutes, so travelers should replace saved schedules before making Shinkansen or sightseeing connections.

Short answerFrom October 13, buses leave Shin-Fuji Station at 7:16, 9:46 and 14:16, while buses leave Fujisan Station at 10:57, 14:27 and 17:57. The service still operates three round trips daily. The through route also serves Kawaguchiko Station, the Fuji Five Lakes attractions on the western side of Mount Fuji, Motosuko, the Shizuoka Prefecture Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre and Fujinomiya.

Replace Old Timetables Before October 13

The biggest change is the middle departure from Shin-Fuji Station, which moves from 12:16 to 9:46. From Fujisan Station, the departure previously listed at 8:57 moves to 14:27, and the 17:30 departure moves to 17:57. These are substantial shifts, so a screenshot, bookmark or printed schedule saved before October 13 may send you to the stop at the wrong time.

The official timetable lists all three daily departures in each direction. Travelers starting at Kawaguchiko, Motosuko or another intermediate stop should use the linked timetable rather than adding an estimated travel time to the terminal departure. Road conditions can also affect arrival times.

Use The Route For A Cross-Mountain Transfer

This through bus is useful for traveling between the Fuji Five Lakes side and the Tokaido Shinkansen at Shin-Fuji without returning toward Tokyo. The published route includes Fujisan Station, Fuji-Q Highland, Kawaguchiko Station, the Wind and Ice Caves, Shojiko, Motosuko, the Shizuoka Prefecture Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre, Fujinomiya and Shin-Fuji Station.

The revised timetable shows Shin-Fuji arrivals at 13:22, 16:52 and 20:22. If connecting to a Shinkansen or another reserved service, leave a practical buffer and check that service’s current departure separately. The bus operator does not promise a protected connection.

Check Direction, Platform And Intermediate Stops

At Shin-Fuji Station, the timetable identifies platform 5 for the three Fujisan-bound departures. At Fujisan Station, the three Shin-Fuji-bound departures use platform 4. Confirm the destination display before boarding because both terminals serve many local and intercity buses.

The operator notes that additional local services cover parts of the corridor, including the Motosuko Blue Line between Motosuko and Kawaguchiko. These are not substitutes for every through journey, so compare the exact stops and arrival time before changing buses.

Traveler Actions

  • Delete or replace any timetable saved before October 13, 2026.
  • Choose the correct direction and check the official PDF for your intermediate stop rather than relying only on terminal times.
  • Use platform 5 at Shin-Fuji Station or platform 4 at Fujisan Station, then confirm the destination display before boarding.
  • Allow extra time before Shinkansen, tour, hotel or attraction reservations because road delays are possible and connections are not guaranteed.
  • Recheck the operator notice and current service status on the travel day, especially after severe weather or road disruption.
