Yamanakako no KABA will operate a Halloween version of its amphibious sightseeing bus on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, 2026. Each day has two special departures, and riders must meet a simple costume or color condition and reserve directly by telephone no later than the previous day.

Reserve The Halloween Departure By Phone

The special service uses a different booking route from ordinary KABA trips. Call Fujikyu Bus directly at 0555-72-6877 between 9:00 and 17:30 and complete the reservation by the day before your chosen departure. The operator says seats are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do not rely on the normal Fujiyama Connect online booking page or a general call center for these four Halloween departures. The event notice explicitly says those channels do not accept the special booking. Ask the telephone agent to confirm the date, departure time, number of passengers and the child-age category before ending the call.

A Small Halloween Detail Is Enough To Qualify

Passengers do not need a full costume. The official conditions accept a Halloween accessory worn as a small accent, or clothing in any of the listed Halloween colors: orange, purple or black. A full costume also qualifies.

Prepare the clothing or accessory before reaching the terminal because eligibility is attached to the special fare and departure. The operator does not state that costumes are available to borrow or buy on site.

Add The Free Ghost Hunt At The Bus Terminal

From October 16 through November 1, anyone can join the free ghost hunt on the second floor of Yamanakako Asahigaoka Bus Terminal. Ask the service counter for the keyword sheet, find the hidden ghosts around the floor and collect the keyword for a participation gift.

The ghost hunt does not require a KABA ticket, according to the announcement. Travelers using an ordinary bus or visiting the terminal can join, but should allow enough time to finish before boarding another service. The operator does not publish a daily closing time or guaranteed gift quantity, so confirm at the counter on arrival.

Plan Access And Allow For Weather

The KABA terminal is at Yamanakako Asahigaoka. The official access page lists direct highway-bus service from Shinjuku at about 2 hours 15 minutes; local buses take about 30 minutes from Fujisan Station or about 40 minutes from Kawaguchiko Station. Drivers should allow about 10 minutes from Yamanakako Interchange under normal conditions.

Yamanakako no KABA is an amphibious sightseeing vehicle that travels on land and enters Lake Yamanaka. The operator warns that wind, fog, lightning, water level and other conditions can cause cancellation without advance notice. Recheck the official operating notice on the day and keep an alternative lake plan.
